Illustrations displaying my “signature style”. While I try to be flexible in my ability to adapt to different visual aesthetics and experiment with illustrating different styles, this is the style I created to be my personal style that I can call my own. It’s influenced by retro aesthetics and lowbrow cartoon/comic styles. It’s also the same illustration style I use in my comic “Gridley”.
Gridley is a fantasy/Weird-Western ongoing comic series about Giles Gridley, a member of a strange and misunderstood race called “Kaftar”, who is exiled from his insular clan after contracting vampirism. Under the guise of a human, he seeks refuge in the Wizarding Guild of Talvit City- hoping to ply his trade as an Ectomancer, a wizard who specializes in communication with spirits. Gridley has great art, a unique world, and compelling characters. If you’re looking for a fantasy comic with some Wild West grit, then Gridley might just be the comic for you.
